Quotidianalia Resource Library
Quotidianalia as a practice is extremely interdisciplinary, ranging from radio, journalism and oral history to sound art, photography, and writing. The links and books below come from many sources but all have some relation to the concept of quotidianalia.
Quick Start: Top 5 Resources to Get Started
- Reality Radio (book) - Get it, read it. Play some, re-read it.
- Ira Glass on Storytelling 1 2 3 4 - Watch and absorb.
- Transom.org - Incredible resource. Especially see the "tools" section for tips on equipment.
- Third Coast's How-to tag - These are recordings of sessions from the Third Coast International Audio Festival. Check out the rest of their website and library as well.
- Rob Rosenthal's Saltcast and HowSound - Rob produced Saltcast when he was teaching at Salt Institute. He has now moved on to HowSound. Both describe how to produce a story.
The most important thing is to get out and do it, as often as possible.
